God’s Gift for Music was founded by Jason Euresti in 2012 while he was serving as a volunteer music director at St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church in Kyle, Texas.
The name reflects a simple belief: each of us is given different gifts and talents, and those gifts are meant to be shared in service to others.
For Jason, that gift has always been music.
MEET JASON EURESTI
Founder • Liturgical Musician • Composer
Jason Euresti has served in liturgical music ministry since 2009, providing music for churches, families, couples, choirs, and communities throughout Central and South Texas.
His experience has taken him throughout Austin, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, Houston, and surrounding communities, serving as a vocalist, guitarist, music director, composer, and liturgical musician. Jason also served as a choir director at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Austin through 2020.
Over the years, his ministry has included music for Sunday liturgies, funerals and memorials, weddings, special Masses, and other sacred celebrations.
At the center of his work is a desire to create and provide music that is not simply performed, but that serves the liturgy, supports prayer, and gives people something meaningful to carry with them beyond the service itself.
A LIFE IN MUSIC
Jason began his musical journey largely as a self-taught musician before pursuing formal studies in music.
He earned an Associate of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Composition from Austin Community College in 2019 and later continued his studies in Music Composition and Theory at Concordia University Texas.
His musical background encompasses:

COMPOSER
Sacred music rooted in tradition, written for today.
Composition has become an important extension of Jason’s work in liturgical music.
His music draws from years of experience with Catholic liturgy, traditional hymnody, choral writing, classical music, and contemporary sacred music. Rather than approaching sacred composition as music separate from worship, Jason writes with the actual liturgy and the musicians who serve it in mind.
His works range from music written for congregation and choir to more developed choral, instrumental, and concert compositions.
MASS OF LUMINOUS GLORY
One of Jason’s most significant compositional projects is the Mass of Luminous Glory, a complete setting of the Ordinary of the Mass developed over several years.
The work brings together Jason’s background in sacred hymnody, composition, choral music, and practical experience as a liturgical musician. It was written to offer Catholic communities a setting that feels both new and immediately at home within the celebration of the Mass.
The Mass of Luminous Glory includes music for voices and instrumental accompaniment and has been developed in both English and Spanish, allowing the setting to serve a variety of Catholic communities.
It represents years of writing, revising, arranging, and developing music specifically for use within the Catholic liturgy.
THE BOOK OF PSALMS
Jason’s sacred catalog also includes his Book of Psalms, an expanding collection of Responsorial Psalm settings written for the Catholic liturgy.
More than 50 Psalm settings have been composed and arranged for SATB choir with descant, piano accompaniment, and flute, combining practical liturgical writing with a fuller choral and instrumental sound.
The collection reflects Jason’s interest in giving the Psalms their own musical character while maintaining the clarity and accessibility necessary for congregational response.

Among Jason’s concert works is Iridescent Lights – Aurora Borealis, written for SSAATTBB choir, demonstrating another side of his compositional work beyond music written specifically for worship.
MUSIC WRITTEN TO BE USED
A defining part of Jason’s approach to sacred composition is practicality.
As a working liturgical musician, he understands that church music must work not only on the written page, but also with real choirs, cantors, accompanists, instrumentalists, congregations, and worship spaces.
His sacred music is therefore written with both musicianship and ministry in mind: music that can be expressive and distinctive while still serving the people who must sing, play, and pray it.

God’s Gift for Music is about more than providing a musician for a service.
For families and couples, planning the musical portions of a Catholic liturgy can sometimes feel overwhelming.
A family preparing a funeral may have never planned a Funeral Mass before and may not know which hymns, readings, or Psalms to choose. A couple preparing for marriage may know the music they love but not necessarily where that music belongs within the wedding liturgy.
Jason helps make those decisions easier.
Through God’s Gift for Music, families and couples receive both professional music and knowledgeable liturgical guidance, helping create a service that is reverent, personal, and appropriate to the celebration.

A PERSONAL APPROACH
Every service is different.
Some families come knowing exactly which hymns they want. Others may only remember a song their loved one enjoyed. Some simply know they want the service to be beautiful and reverent but have no idea where to begin.
Couples planning their wedding can face many of the same questions.
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Part of the purpose of God’s Gift for Music is to provide guidance when it is needed while respecting the traditions of the Church and the wishes of each family or couple.
The goal is always the same: to create a musical setting that feels sacred, thoughtful, and fitting for the moment.
